A concussion has landed Justin Schultz on injured reserve and the Penguins second highest paid d-man will be sidelined for at least a week, retroactive to 10/25.

Schultz has played well through the first 10 games of the season but his offensive numbers have dipped through the first month with Kris Letang back in the lineup. Schultz has a goal and 2 assists on the season, averaging 18:37 of ice time, down by about 2 minutes per game.

Last season Schultz starred for the Penguins with a career year in posting 12 goals and 51 points in 78 games.
