The Pittsburgh Penguins return from the break tonight for a home and home series with the Nashville Predators. Here are the latest injury updates entering tonight:
*Patric Hornqvist who has missed the last nine games, is with the team on the trip and participated in the morning, but has been ruled out for tonight. Hornqvist is projected to return in the next couple games.
*Sidney Crosby and Nick Bjugstad both remain in Pittsburgh and are skating on their own. Crosby recovering from sports hernia surgery, has had over 10 individual on-ice skilled sessions over the last two weeks. The six week mark for his injury was Dec 26th. Of the two, Crosby is much closer to being cleared to practice with the team. Bjugstad is out until mid-to-late January.
*Justin Schultz remains off the ice
