Malkin scoring his first goal in 19 games, capitalized on a 2-on-1 opportunity, 23 seconds into the second period. Sprong then struck at 2:25 of the period with a beautiful goal from the slot for his first career NHL goal.

Marc Andre Fleury made 22 saves in earning his 39th career shutout. It was Fleury’s first ever shutout vs the Senators.
