The Islanders desperately in the market for a top-6 winger, have acquired Jordan Eberle from the Oilers in-exchange for Ryan Strome.
Eberle, 27, has two seasons remaining with a $6 million cap hit. He had 20 goals and 51 points in 82 games during the 16-17 season.
Strome, 23, was the Islanders 1st round pick in 2011 (5th overall). He had 13 goals and 30 points in 69 games for the Islanders in 16-17.
I guess this means they aren’t acquiring Duschene.
It’s like handing two bags of trash to one another. Eberle was the better, albeit, softer player… Strome is half the price and one year left… meh
