Capitals avoid going down 3-0
(CLB Leads Series, 2-1)
Capitals – Blue Jackets went to overtime for the third straight game and Washington has tightened the series on a Lars Eller goal in Double-OT to deliver a 3-2 Capitals win in Game 2. The ugly goal went off Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski and past Sergei Bobrovsky.
The Capitals have now gone to overtime in 12 of their past 22 Stanley Cup Playoff games and despite being favorites in Round 1 the last two seasons, eight of their past nine first-round games have been decided in overtime.

Vegas awaits the winner of Sharks – Ducks. San Jose is up in the series 3-0.
MAF looked terrific, see what happens when responsible D is played? Guy was always solid but far too many shit on him for things somewhat out of his hands. Not that he didnt melt down… he did but the cause of that was a piss poor structure that he put the blame on himself for. Now that is not a nod top you -5am… I spoke highly of MAF for years and despite this result I stand by the idea that they made the move that made the most sense for the team period. This how I feel for him you said if word by word and I’ve said if before the minute he leaves pens he would have better number and over also said if he played for jersey let’s say year of brodeur drafted he would’ve broken more records yes at times he was clumsy but that all came with the pressure DB ruined his elite status no other goalie would’ve been better then fleury under DB. I hated his system he won the cup based on momentum shift team won with therien mind bur as soon as it’s wore off the… Read more »

Or have fleury back to finish his career as back up for 1m. In a few years… Read more »
