The Pittsburgh Penguins made a late night trade in acquiring forward Joseph Blandisi from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Derek Grant. Blandisi on a 2-way contract ($680k cap hit) will be an RFA at seasons end. The 24 year old forward has 23 points (8G-15A) in 27 games with AHL San Diego. Blandisi a sixth round pick in the 2012 draft, has 26 points (8G-18A) in 74 career NHL games. The Penguins say Blandisi will join the team in Arizona. Blandisi has played in just 6 NHL games (0 pts) since the start of the 2017-2018 season.
