Penn State (4-1) needed three turnovers to beat Army (1-4) at home, 20-14, on Saturday afternoon. Army trailing by six, drove into Penn State territory with under two minutes to play and an opportunity for the win but a Jason Cabinda sack on 4th and 5 sealed the win for the Nittany Lions.
Penn State’s offense was mediocre in the loss. Christian Hackenberg was 10-19 for 156 yards and 1 touchdown.
Army out-gained Penn State 293 to 264 and had 17 first downs to Penn State’s 12.
