Pirates: Bell shines with 4 hit night in blowout win of Rockies

The Pirates (49-48) with a 13-5 blowout win against the NL Leading Colorado Rockies, tied a season high with 18 hits.
Josh Bell shined in going 4-6 with a double, triple and 4 RBIs. Trailing 3-2 in the top of the 2nd, Bell opened the flood gates with a three-run double and Pittsburgh put the game away early in leading 10-3 after the top of the sixth.
Andrew McCutchen was 3-4 with 3 RBIs and 2 walks.
The Pirates 1-4 hitters (Marte-Harrison-McCutchen-Bell) went a combined 10-20 with 7 RBIs, 10 runs scored.
With Friday night’s win and a Milwaukee loss, the Pirates are within two games of first place Milwaukee in the NL Central.
*Pittsburgh has gained 6 games on the Brewers in six games
