As the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to struggle to find one legitimate landing spot for Antonio Brown, the team today signed center Maurkice Pouncey to a new three year extension and resigned Ramon Foster to a two year, $8.25 million contract. Pouncey who had one year left on his contract with a base salary of $7 million, receives $22 million in new money, bringing the total value of his deal to 3 years, $29 million. The $11 million AAV in new money makes him the highest paid center in the NFL. The next big extension for the Steelers will be Ben Roethlisberger as the two sides are putting the finishing touches on a 3-4 year extension. Roethlisberger has informed the Steelers he plans to play until at least 40.
