[hide] The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially placed the franchise tag on running back Le’Veon Bell.
The tag for Bell is at the tune of $14.544 million.
The two sides failed to come close to a deal prior to today’s deadline and there are little expectations inside the Steelers organization a deal will happen by the mid-July deadline.
Bell is considered highly likely to play on the tag for a second straight year. [/hide]
Why? Go for the super bowl with him, then let him walk the year after. Get a 2nd or a 3rd as a compensatory pick. Nobody is giving you a 1st rounder for him.
Can you trade a tagged player?
not until he signs the franchise tag which last year was week before season
Now trade him
