Those close to former NHL superstar Jaromir Jagr fully believe Jagr will return to the KHL next season, however, as the World Championships ended today, Jagr fueled speculation about a possible return to the NHL with three teams believed to be at the top of his wishlist.
The team sources indicated earlier in the week that is at the top of Jagr’s wishlist is the Montreal Canadiens but Jagr also had some strong words about possibly playing again for two of his former teams in the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers.

“You Never know, ” Jagr told reporters regarding an NHL return. “Maybe it will be still fun to go back to the NHL. Maybe Pittsburgh. I don’t know. Maybe Montreal. Maybe New York. Pittsburgh, I played there for a long time. Mario is the owner. It’s better to play with great centers like Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, this game is a little bit easier and I’m not young anymore.
“New York I always had a great feeling about that city. They gave me a second chance. I will never forget about that.
“And Montreal and Canada, It’s totally different hockey. The fans are crazy about hockey and I’ve never played in Canada in my life. You never know, ” Jagr said.
The Canadiens are considered a team at the top of Jagr’s wishlist because of his close relationship with Habs center Tomas Plakanec.
