Insider Only Jeff Zatkoff expected to make start in goal

The Pittsburgh Penguins have beat up on the Florida Panthers over the last several seasons, winning nine of 11 games against the Panthers and Pittsburgh is 19-6-0 against Florida dating back to 2007.
Marc Andre Fleury has a 1.26 GAA in his last seven starts vs the Panthers, winning all seven but tonight is the perfect game to give Jeff Zatkoff his first career NHL start and that’s what we’re expected to see tonight.

The organization is very intrigued about how Zatkoff performs over his first couple NHL starts. Coaches have felt he’s look very strong in practices and new goaltending coach Mike Bales is said to strongly believe that Zatkoff is an NHL capable goaltender.
The Panthers coming off a 7-2 loss last night to the Tampa Bay Lightning, are averaging 1.75 goals per game and giving up 4.75 goals per game as the team is off to a 1-3 start.
The Penguins will avoid seeing Tim Thomas who is dealing with a groin injury.
Tidbits: Kris Letang is on the trip with the Penguins and is a candidate to play on the road trip. Talk yesterday was Letang returning to action tomorrow night vs Tampa Bay Lightning.
