Goaltender Brent Johnson, as expected is out for tonight's game due to a groin injury. According to Dave Molinari of the Post-Gazette, John Curry will be Fleury's backup tonight.
Curry who is the organizations No. 4 goaltender on the depth chart behind Fleury, Johnson, and Brad Thiessen, was once seen as Fleury's long-term backup at the NHL level.
Curry had a disastrous 2009-2010 season but is having a nice bounce back season this year in Wilkes Barre.
Curry is 11-5 with a 2.33 GAA and .913 save percentage. Curry's cap hit is $375,000 less than Thiessen.
