• Rob Scuderi is a whipping boy among the fan base and for a new coaching staff that prioritizes puck movers, Scuderi’s fit in Mike Johnston’s system is never going to be an ideal one. Scuderi, though, has made a positive impact on Johnston, at least that’s what he claims “On The Record” — “He’s had a very good start to the season. He really has,” Johnston said of Scuderi following Wednesday’s practice. “His positional play, no matter who he’s against on the ice we have a lot of confidence in him. Good position all the time, good stick, good awareness, he doesn’t try to over-extend himself.”
