Jung Ho-Kang homered in his Pirates debut and played solid defense in the Pirates 8-7 win over the Blue Jays, Tom Singer of PittsburghPirates.com writes.

In the third inning, Kang pulled a fastball from Toronto right-hander Marco Estrada and sent a solo shot over the fence in right-center.
“He barreled the ball up big time,” Pirates manager Clint Hurdle told reporters. “He got a ball up in the zone and covered it well, all the way out of the park.”
Kang played 5 1/2 innings and went 1-2.
Pedro Alvarez (2-3, HR, 4 RBIs), Elias Diaz (1-2, HR) also homered in the Pirates win.
