NHL RUMOR THURSDAY
*On TSN’s Insider Trading tonight, featuring NHL insiders Pierre LeBrun and Bob McKenzie, they listed the Los Angeles Kings as one of the top teams likely to be in the sweepstakes for Jarome Iginla.
The Kings are interesting because all of the chatter this past summer and even at last years trade deadline among a few NHL sources surrounding Iginla, is that the Kings were the one team he had his sights set on joining were he to waive his no trade clause. There’s a good chance the Kings remain the destination Iginla wants to go. He will get to dictate everything.

*Steve Ott of the Buffalo Sabres would be an attractive player to several contenders and the Vancouver Canucks continue to have their sights set on him. But, LeBrun says “at this point {Buffalo} not making Ott available”
*Also on Insider Trading, the panelists confirmed that the Rangers have at least made Marian Gaborik available and are listening on him. New York is looking to bolster their depth on the bottom two lines as they miss Brandon Prust and are also looking to add a top-4 right handed defenseman. Gaborik has a tough contract to move as McKenzie pointed out, but I continue to hear the San Jose Sharks being a possible destination, whether it would be at the trade deadline or this summer.
