Kirby Wilson in the running for Ravens offensive coordinator job?

wilson Could the division rival Ravens be poaching the Steelers coaching staff? Running backs coach Kirby Wilson who became very involved in the Steelers offense this season (in the second half), is among four candidates for the Ravens offensive coordinator position, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun.
Wilson was once looked at as Mike Tomlin’s hand picked successor to Bruce Arians but Wilson was severely burned in a house fire that winter when Arians was fired by Steelers ownership.
The Steelers offense started to take off this season when Mike Tomlin became more involved in the offense that really started going into the Lions game on November 17th where the Steelers started fully coming around to the “no huddle” offense, thanks to Tomlin forcing it on offensive coordinator and making Haley still with it. From there, Wilson also saw his role grow behind the scenes, team sources say.
Wilson is likely to jump at the chance to become the Ravens offensive coordinator if the position were to be offered, though, he could always take the gamble that this will be Haley’s last season. The Steelers offensive coordinator is entering the final year of his contract but ownership likes Haley and he’s burned so many bridges around the league, that this is probably going to be the best job he’s going to get for a while now, as no team will consider hiring him as a head coach.
