Kris Letang on ice for two goals against, picks up assist in return to action

  • Kris Letang returned to the lineup tonight for the Penguins, 10 weeks since having a stroke. Other than not seeing much power play time, head coach Dan Bylsma didn’t use Letang any differently than he ever does. Letang played 22:30, recording an assist and a -1 rating. He was beat in front by Tomas Jurco on the Red Wings opening goal at 10:41 of the first period. Letang was also on the ice during the Red Wings game tying goal with 1:15 left in regulation. One element Letang added tonight was his ability to skate the puck out of troubled situations and he picked up an assist on Jussi Jokinen’s third period goal.
4/9/14 vs Red Wings 1 Assist, -1, 2 SOG, 3 Hits, 2 GV, 22:30 TOI
