Penguins winger Lee Stempniak has inked a one year deal with the New York Rangers worth $900,000. Stempniak who made $2.75 million in 2013-2014, will take a paycut of $1.85 million.
Stempniak is the second Penguin to sign with the Rangers this summer as Tanner Glass signed a three year deal with New York on July 1.
Stempniak had 12 goals and 34 points last season. He collected 11 points in 21 regular season games for the Penguins.

Stempniak at one year, $900,000, is a pretty solid signing for the Rangers. He showed signs last season of being able to mesh well with top talent in short spurts, notably when playing with Sidney Crosby, so he’s a player who can fill different roles when needed for New York.
