Mario Lemieux was limited to just two assists in the Alumni Game but it was a great experience for the Penguins owner who touched base on several subjects after the game, including whether dominating in today's era is more difficult than in his era.
"It was fun to be apart of it, " Lemieux said. "Play outdoors, weather looks beautiful, just to see some old faces again. Some guys I haven't seen in a longtime, brought back guys from the Cup years, some older guys.... it was pretty special for all of us."
Lemieux said the ice was great, excect for a few spots in the neutral zone.
"The ice was great, " Lemieux said. "Couple times in neutral zone there was a puddle here and there but they fixed it."
A hot topic in the press conference was Sidney Crosby dominating the league in 2010. Lemieux said that dominating in today's era is much more difficult than his era and what Crosby's doing is more impressive than what he did.
"He's been incredible all year, " Lemieux said.
