The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Monday night that defenseman Kris Letang will be sidelined for 2 weeks with a shoulder contusion. For many inside the organization, that's the best news possible as it was onced feared that the injury could be much worse.
Letang was evaluated by team doctors Monday morning in Pittsburgh. An MRI showed no damage.
Line changes?
Sidney Crosby is struggling as are his teammates. On Monday he took some shifts in practice with Ruslan Fedotenko and Matt Cooke, while Jordan Staal centered Chris Kunitz and Bill Guerin.
Craig Adams centered Chris Conner and Pascal Dupuis on the third line.
Kennedy out for Tuesday's game
*Tyler Kennedy will miss his third straight game on Tuesday. Kennedy remains sidelined with a groin injury. Kennedy did some light work on Monday and could return to the lineup on Thursday against New Jersey.
