Less than 30 minutes before Round 1, Michael Russo of the Star Tribune mentions there is “lots of chatting” on the draft floor between Wild GM Chuck Fletcher and Penguins GM Ray Shero.
The Wild are shopping two players the Penguins had shown interest in the past, winger Devin Setoguchi and third line winger Cal Clutterbuck.

With Pascal Dupuis up in the air, the Penguins have a need for a top-6 winger and holes on the third line.
In addition to Kennedy, one executive claims Dustin Jeffrey, Jussi Jokinen and even Matt Niskanen have been floated around by the Penguins as they appear interested in moving a few million off their cap.
Pittsburgh is looking to move up into the draft to the second round.
