Malkin for 3rd time in his career, records 4th straight multi-point game

In the Penguins past four games, Evgeni Malkin (17GP-8G-14A-22pts) has matched Sidney Crosby as the best player on the ice in the past week. Malkin had a goal and an assist in Pittsburgh’s 4-3 overtime win vs Montreal, his 4th straight multi-point game. It is the third time in Malkin’s career that he has recorded multi-point games in four straight games. The other two times Malkin did it was in 2008 and 2010: (February 1, 2010 through February 2010, and February 2, 2010 – through February 10, 2008, a career high five straight multi-point games for Malkin in 08). Malkin has 8 points in his last four games, and is averaging 1.29 points per game on the season.
