Insider Only Malkin on top of his game in World Championships, sets Team Russia record

Evgeni Malkin wasn’t at his best in the Penguins first round loss to Philadelphia last month but Malkin has been on top of his game in the World Championships, with 7 goals and 8 assists for 15 points, including a plus-13 rating in the tournament (8 GP). Malkin second in points (15) in the tournament, tied for 1st in goals (7) and leads all players in plus/minus rating. Malkin picked up an assist today in Russia’s 5-2 win over Norway advancing to the Semi-Finals. With the assist, Malkin set a team Russia record for points in the World Championships.
