Malkin feels ready to play
A few quick updates before I head back to the office……
*Evgeni Malkin went through an entire practice today and despite being an extra forward on the second line and appearing to be in some pain near the end of practice, Malkin said today that he expects to return to the lineup Wednesday night against the Dallas Stars.
*Head coach Dan Bylsma said today that he is optimistic that Kris Letang (wrist) and Alex Goligoski (lower body) will play tomorrow night.
Letang said today that getting through a full practice was progress for him but….

his wrist injury is still sore and uncomfortable. A decision on Letang won’t be made until after tomorrow’s morning skate. Alex Goligoski was at the facility working out and is feeling better today.
*Dan Bylsma bypassed questions about who will start in goal on Wednesday but all indications are that Brent Johnson will get a second consecutive start.
*The Penguins haven’t ruled out any callups but none will be made today.
