Top outfield prospect Starling Marte (.270 - 7 HR - 41 RBI), in addition to pitcher Rudy Owens and infielder Jordy Mercer (.302 - 3 HR - 22 RBI) have been named 2012 International League All-Stars.
Marte, 23, is hitting .270 with 7 home runs and 41 RBIs in 72 games. Marte has a team leading 9 triples and 41 RBI's. His 14 doubles and 16 stolen bases rank 2nd on the team. He is batting .300 with 2 home runs and 10 RBI's in his last ten games.
Owens, 24, leads the Indians with a 6-3 record, posting a 2.51 ERA in 15 starts. Owens has walked just 16 batters in 96.2 innings pitched. Mercer, 25, is batting a team-high .302 with 3 home runs and 22 RBI's.
