Pittsburgh Penguins winger Matt Cooke will not suspended for his shoulder-to-head hit on Boston Bruins center Marc Savard, Colin Campbell has just announced.
Cooke who practiced today on a line with Jordan Staal and Pascal Dupuis, had a disciplinary hearing with Campbell shortly after practice today.
According to Bob McKenzie of TSN, Colin Campbell said his decision was based on a matter of consistency.
The Penguins are departing for Raleigh in a few hours.
