  • 2012 3rd round pick Matthew Murray continues to emerge in a big way in his first professional season with the Penguins organization, picking up his AHL leading 7th shutout with a 22 save performance in Wilkes Barre’s 2-0 win over Providence on Saturday night. The 20-year-old rookie goaltender has registered shutouts in four of his last six starts, allowing just four goals on 150 shots. He has stopped 109 of the last 110 shots he has faced. Murray’s shutout total is the most by a first-year goaltender in the American Hockey League since 2003-04 (Wade Dubielewicz, 9).
