Matthew Murray picks up AHL leading 6th shutout of the season
With great size and athleticism, 2012 3rd round pick Matthew Murray has emerged in a big way in his first professional season with the Penguins organization, picking up his AHL leading 6th shutout in Wilkes Barre’s 3-0 win over Portland on Friday night. Murray made 23 saves, improving to 14-8-1 with a 1.79 GAA, .932 save percentage. Since December 28th, Murray is 9-2-0 with a 1.17 GAA, .958 save percentage and has four shutouts during that span.
