The Updated Stanley Cup odds have been released by PinnacleSports.com. Not surprising the Buffalo Sabres are at the top of the list. The Ducks three week skid has dropped them to second while the Preadators, the NHL’s points leader are ranked 4th. The surprising odds has to be the Penguins. Overall Pinnacle sports has them ranked 13th (5th best odds in the east) a higher ranking than the defending Stanley Cup Champions Carolina Hurricanes. By the end of the regular season who knows what the chart will look like but it’s nice to see the Penguins getting some love from the odds makers. On a matchup preference, the Penguins need to find a way to get up into the 6th seed. Atlanta is the likely #3 seed and the Penguins match up very well against the Thrashers. Plus history has been on the Penguins side as a #6 seed. 2001 ring a bell.
