Tomlin and the coaching staff reviewed Sunday’s game. They were happy with the teams gritty performance. Pleased with the way the Steelers played in the trenches. Tomlin feels the Steelers were the more physical team.
Tomlin’s take on the Eagles
Tough road ahead on Sunday. Tomlin believes it starts with Donovan McNabb. Tomlin says McNabb is throwing the best deep ball in his career. The Steelers must find a way to contain McNabb. Tomlin also mentions Eagles defensive end Trent Cole as an dangerous player and Marvel Smith will have his work cut out for him again.

Ben Roethlisberger – sore shoulder (AC Sprain) will be limited. Tomlin just met with Roethlisberger and Ben told him that his shoulder feels better this week compared to last week. That is very good news for the Steelers.

NBC report about shoulder separation is false, according to Tomlin.
Tomlin seemed disturbed about the report and told the media to let him know where this story came from because it didn’t come from the Steelers medical staff

This will open up an opportunity for Orpheus Roye to get on the field. The Steelers will use a defensive line by committee. Based on experience with Orpheus Roye thus far, Tomlin indicates he is a very good teammate and flashes some signs in practice that he has something left in the tank. Nick Eason and Travis Kirschke will see plenty of playing time.
Offensive line: Tomlin likes what he has seen so far. Praised the play of Chris Kemoeatu and Marvel Smith. Tomlin feels Justin Hartwig played extremely well. Tomlin went out his way to praise Browns defensive lineman Shaun Rodgers.
Wide Receiver depth –At this point very pleased with the way Hines and Santonio are playing. Tomlin feels other receivers need to get involved
Tomlin on Rashard Mendenhall
The plan was to play Mendenhall more but Tomlin says Willie had a look in his eye that he was going to have a successful night.
Tomlin on Troy Polamalu
Healthy and performing very well
Tomlin also praised Bryant McFadden’s ability. Tomlin said McFadden has practiced very well this season and it has carried over to Sunday’s.
