MLB: Dodgers balk at Pirates asking price

The Pirates asking price continues to be very high for Jack Wilson and the Dodgers, a team that has shown interest in Wilson since the trade deadline continue to balk at the Pirates demands according to Fox Sports Ken Rosenthal. Rosenthal reports the Pirates asking price is young shortstop Chin-Lung Hu and two other prospects. These are the same demands the Pirates had at the trade deadline in talks with the Dodgers. If the Pirates demands don’t come down, Wilson will be in a Pirates uniform when spring training begins. Wilson is set to earn $7.25MM in '09 and has a $8.4MM option for '10 with a $600K buyout.
