Former Major League Baseball executive Keith Law came out with his third annual top 100 prospects rankings this week and No. 1 on Law's list is Atlanta Braves prospect Jason Heyward not Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg.
Three Pirates made the Top 100 including 2009 1st round pick Tony Sanchez who is Law's No. 82 rated prospect. Pedro Alvarez is the Pirates top rated prospect coming in at No. 35
However, Alvarez (No. 35) and Jose Tabata (No. 57) have seen their stock drop compared to last years rankings.
