Post-Practice Buzz: Neal has concussion; Crosby recovery timetable still undetermined
*James Neal has been diagnosed with a concussion and won’t travel with the team on the road trip, head coach Dan Bylsma revealed minutes ago.
*Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby (broken jaw) spoke for the first time since his injury and there is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding Crosby’s return. Crosby said today that he will be seeing the doctor later this week and hopes to have a potential timetable on his recovery soon but at this point Crosby’s recovery timetable remains undetermined. Crosby in good spirits admitted today that he has struggled to keep his weight on as he can only eat shakes right now.
*Defenseman Kris Letang, as expected, will be in play to return to the lineup on the up coming road trip. “I feel good,” Letang said. Letang was paired with Simon Despres today.
With Paul Martin sidelined it appears Mark Eaton will stay with Brooks Orpik.
