Media Frenzy: There is nothing like the Super Bowl when it comes to the media circus. The players not only have to deal with the intense media coverage but there are also tons of parties and gatherings going on. It is very easy to get distracted but don’t expect any distractions from this group. Hines Ward, Troy Polamalu, James Harrison, Ben Roethlisberger, , Heath Miller, and Brett Keisel were available to the media today. LaMarr Woodley was on the Jim Rome show this afternoon.
Polamalu/Coca-Cola commercial: Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu has conducted a Coca-Cola commercial which will air during the Super Bowl. The commercial is a new version for Joe Green’s Super Bowl commercial in the 1970’s. Here’s a sneak peek
A different Ben Roethlisberger: Early indications are Steelers quarterback Ben  Roethlisberger is much more relaxed than he was during the week leading up to Super Bowl XL. The Kurt Warner – Ben Roethlisberger debate will continue to go on throughout the week. In a ESPN poll conducted today, 49 states picked Kurt Warner, while Roethlisberger only carried Pennsylvania. Warner received nearly 35 percent of the vote in PA. Is Ben Roethlisberger the most under-appreciated quarterback in the game? Yes he is because a lot of fans are only about the stats.
Hines Ward on Ben Roethlisberger: “We go as far as Ben takes us”. The Steelers veterans who were around during Super Bowl XL talked about today how Ben commands so much respect in the huddle and this time around, the Steelers are his team.
Ward won‚Äôt practice until Thursday: Mike Tomlin announced at his news conference today that Hines Ward will not practice until Thursday at the earliest. Ward missed all of last week with a knee sprain. Nate Washington has taking reps in place of Ward to prepare for the scenario that Ward won’t be 100%.

Tampa is Steelers country: It is only Monday but thus far it looks like Steelers fans will rule the city. Word is ticket prices may go down a bit by mid-week
