Pens Morning Buzz

Crosby Latest: On Wednesday there’s was no inkling that Sidney Crosby will return to game action Friday night vs the Dallas Stars but all parties involved remain guarded with info coming out.
Crosby on Wednesday was looking a little frustrated with the media speculation about his return and did not speak but here’s the thing: He’s had the chance to rule himself out like he did last week prior to the West Coast trip, so until he does, speculation is going to be rampant about him playing tomorrow night.
Early indications are that Crosby will be speak following practice or that there will be some type of new update regarding his status for this week.
Tidbits
*Sources say Internal discussions from management have centered around,

veteran forward Jason Williams who is receiving high marks for his overall play in Wilkes Barre. Now healthy, GM Ray Shero is said to be interested in giving Williams a look with the Penguins and there’s a belief inside the organization that Williams can help this team.
Williams is a top candidate to be called up for Friday’s game if the Penguins need to fill a roster spot.
Williams has 6 points in seven games and has been excellent on the power play for the Baby Pens, regarded as the team’s catalyst.
Another player playing extremely well is Eric Tangradi who scored twice last night and has a team leading 7 goals for Wilkes Barre. He is also under consideration for a callup.
*The Penguins expect to have a better idea on Tyler Kennedy’s availability for Friday after today’s practice, when he’s evaluated. Kennedy looked strong in yesterday’s practice, skating on the 2nd line with Chris Kunitz and Jordan Staal.
He should play this weekend but it’s still possible the team takes the cautious route and holds him out until next Tuesday.
