Penguins MORNING SKATE BUZZ
The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without Evgeni Malkin and Patric Hornqvist again tonight vs the St. Louis Blues.
Both players went through an intense on-ice workout prior to the morning skate for over an hour. Neither participated in the morning skate.
Malkin is considered a candidate to return to the lineup Thursday vs Carolina and Hornqvist by the weekend at the latest.
The Penguins roster moves this morning suggest the team is likely to dress 11 forwards tonight vs the St. Louis Blues.

The team re-assigned Andrew Ebbett to Wilkes Barre/Scranton and recalled Derrick Pouliot.
Pouliot worked with the first power play unit this morning, a strong sign he will be in the lineup. Pouliot had 1 assist and a minus-1 rating in three games with Wilkes Barre last week during his re-assigment.
The top power play unit this morning included Perron, Crosby and Kunitz down low with Letang and Pouliot at the points.
Meanwhile, Christian Ehrhoff who was a late scratch on Saturday night, ran the point on the second power play unit, a sign he’s under consideration to play tonight.
