Pittsburgh 83 - Coker 40
Pittsburgh Panthers Redshirt freshman Travon Woodall scored 21 points as the Panthers claimed an 83-40 exhibition win over NCAA Division II Coker College (S.C.), Sunday afternoon at the Petersen Events Center.
Woodall led all scorers with 21 points and was also 3-for-5 in three point attempts as the Panthers shot just under 55% in the game.
Junior center Gary McGhee had a strong game and added 13 points for the Panthers. 12 players recorded points for the Panthers.
Sophomore guard Ashton Gibbs finished with a game-high six assists and freshman Dante Taylor was 3-for-4 from the field with 8 points in 14 minutes of action.
Taylor, the Panthers top recruit, is expected to begin the season off the bench but will play a key role in the Panthers success this season.
