The Pittsburgh Penguins will hold six spots on the NHL All-Star ballot, the NHL announced today.
Penguins forwards James Neal and Jordan Staal and defenseman Kris Letang are on the ballot for the first time in their careers. The three join veterans Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury and Evgeni Malkin on the ballot.
Letang was voted on to the team as a write-in last season.
Voting begins on November 14th and All-Star balloting concludes on January 4, 2012 with the top-6 vote getters by position, 3 forwards, 2 defensemen and 1 goaltender taking part. Hockey operations pick the rest of the team.
