Are the Buccaneers still interested in Byron Leftiwch after signing Luke McCown?
Despite signing quarterback Luke McCown to a two year deal worth $2.5 million per season, the Buccaneers remain highly interested in Steelers quarterback Byron Leftwich, Inside Pittsburgh Sports has learned.
Leftwich threw for 303 yds and two touchdowns for the Steelers in 2008. The Bears are also expected to express interest. The 49ers and Chiefs, depending on what direction they go could pursue Leftiwch.
It is believed Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has been marketing Leftwich for a starting job. Tomlin has some connections to Tampa Bay and you can bet he has had some discussions with them about Leftiwch –Staff
