Wide receiver Plaxico Burress was suspended by the New York Giants for one game after failing to show up to team activities this week. Burress was a no show Monday and did not return phone calls from the team seeking an explanation, according to Fox Sports. Burress who recently signed a new 5 year - $35 million contract agreed to participate in more team activities than he has in the past. Guarantees and portions of the contract are contingent on Burress showing up to team activies.
