TEAMMATES FEEL ROETHLISBERGER DIDN’T PUSH HIMSELF ENOUGH?
Ben Roethlisberger is regarded as one of the toughest quarterbacks in the game and played through immense pain last season with an ankle injury but are some teammates questioning his drive to fight through his current injury? It wouldn’t be the first time as Hines Ward bashed Roethlisberger on National TV in a pivotal 2009 road game against the Ravens where Roethlisberger sat out with a concussion. Is it deja vu?

According to Jason LaCanfora of CBSsports, there are some teammates in fact who feel Roethlisberger didn’t push himself enough this week. LaCanfora reports Roethlisberger was medically cleared to practice fully and writes, “Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger surprised some teammates and frustrated others by not pushing to practice more this week, according to sources with knowledge of the situation, as he recovered from a shoulder sprain. Many in the organization thought Roethlisberger would face the Ravens on Sunday in Baltimore after suffering the injury more than two weeks ago; he was cleared medically to do as much as he wanted this week, sources said, but did little besides throw the ball on the sidelines.”
For anyone who saw Roethlisberger throw on Thursday, they will debunk this report as Roethlisberger struggled mightily to throw the ball. Whether Ben was medically cleared means squat as the facts are he just can’t throw right now and that was evident all week.
