WILL TOMLIN GET HIS WAY TO SIGN VICK?

The Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback position is a disaster right now. Bruce Gradkowski has had a dead arm since OTA’s and is at least a couple weeks from participating in camp, if not longer, and those behind Gradkowski might not even stand out in a high school practice, the way some have looked the first couple practices.
What about Mike Vick?
Ed Bouchette of the Post-Gazette in his Steelers blog makes the argument of why the Steelers should sign Vick.
MY TAKE
The Steelers have been blessed with Ben Roethlisberger being healthy the last couple seasons but they’re rolling the dice if they believe that is going to continue.
At this point there’s no counting on Gradkowski, despite the Steelers not being very concerned yet.
However, Mike Tomlin has long had an admiration for Mike Vick, strongly considered signing him in 2009, but ownership wouldn’t sign off on it and if Gradkowski’s arm doesn’t get better, there is said to be interest from Tomlin in Vick.
The kicker in potentially bringing Vick on board. Word is Ben Roethlisberger would be strongly against it.
