Line of communication remains open
Count Steelers officials among those who are not confident that former Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery will sign with the team

The Steelers entertained Cotchery for a visit on Sunday night and Monday morning but team officials have doubts that Cotchery will decide to sign with the team after leaving Saint Vincent without coming close to agreeing to a deal.
Sources, though, indicate that Cotchery did check out medically after taking a physical with the team.
The Steelers discussed scenarios and money with both Cotchery and his agent in recent days. While Cotchery’s camp is indicating that there is a mutual interest, they informed the Steelers they will be making more visits but will remain in touch as both sides have an open line of communication.
Next up for Cotchery is the Baltimore Ravens where he will visit with the team on Tuesday morning.
Cotchery who wanted out of New York last February due to a diminished role, is not too high on battling for the No. 4 receiver spot with Antonio Brown in Pittsburgh.
