Anaheim Ducks defenseman Francois Beauchemin has informed Ducks management that he will test free agency on July 1.
Beauchemin has turned down a four year offer from the Ducks believed to be worth $3.35 million per season.
Indications are Beauchemin is seeking $4 million per season on the open market.
Beauchemin will draw significant interest from the Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens.
Beauchemin’s top choice remains the Ducks but he could very well be out of their price range, despite trade Chris Pronger to Philadelphia.
A few national reports have linked Beauchemin to Pittsburgh but there

is no chance that Beauchemin ends up in Pittsburgh.
