Star Teammate says it’s possible

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has no plans what so ever to join Evgeni Malkin in the KHL in the foreseeable future but could that change if the entire NHL season is wiped out?
Malkin who will begin playing for Magnitogorsk of the KHL immediately if a lockout happens after the current CBA expires on September 15th, told Pavel Lysenkov of Sovsport.ru that while Crosby “will not play in the KHL in 2012, Crosby might play in the KHL after Christmas if all of the NHL season is cancelled.
In 2005, the NHL didn’t cancel the 2004-2005 season until February and regardless, it’s hard to envision Crosby taking the risk of going overseas to play, most notably in the KHL but Crosby is a person who loves to play hockey and there will be opportunities for big money in Europe.
