The Calgary Flames have announced they have begun their first set of contract talks with defenseman Jay Bouwmeester today.
A Report from hockeybuzz.com, claiming the Flames agreed to a deal yesterday are false as Bouwmeester's agent Byron Baltimore told the Calgary Sun, "I can dispel that rumor. We have not agreed to anything because we haven't even talked yet."
