Capitals, Blue Jackets make trade
Per Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch, the Columbus Blue Jackets have traded left winger Jason Chimera to the Washington Capitals for defenseman Milan Jurcina and right winger Chris Clark.
Chimera, 30, has 8 goals and 9 assists in 39 games played this season.
The Blue Jackets have lost 17 of 19 games and have been very active in trade talks of late. The Blue Jackets added a veteran presence to their locker room in Chris Clark who was Washington's captain. However, Clark's best days are behind him.
Jurcina, 26, (6-foot-4, 230 lbs) is regarded as a 6th or 7th defenseman.
