Martin to hit the market

New Jersey Devils defenseman Paul Martin is expected to test free agency. Martin told the Newark Star-Ledger that he interested in testing the market and says a deal with the Devils before July 1 is regarded as unlikely.
Martin is expected to be a target of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The two-way defenseman went through an injury filled season in 2009-2010 but is regarded as one of the most complete defenseman to hit the market.
The 29 year old has a combined plus/minus rating of plus-51 in his past three seasons.
Martin made $4.5 million in 2009-2010.
