Multiple Teams Interested in 37 year old Winger?

The Pittsburgh Penguins continue to kick the tires on winger Alexei Kovalev but to this point, Pittsburgh has felt no urgency to move on him as they have waited for the market to evolve a bit.
In fact, Penguin sources have indicated this week that they don’t believe there’s another true suitor in the mix right now.
Could the Penguins be rolling the dice on that assumption?
Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com reports, that three teams are showing interest in Kovalev, with the Penguins being one of them.
Among the speculated teams throughout the industry that could become a fit for Kovalev have been the Los Angeles Kings, Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens. However, both teams are seeking bigger fish.
In reality, this could just be a ploy from the Senators in leaking word that there’s other legitimate suitors.
Meanwhile word out of the Penguins organization is that their team scouts believe the skill is still there from Kovalev and the sense is he could be an impact player alongside Sidney Crosby. Crosby though is no sure thing to return this season.
